Moodboard inspiration

Inspiration. 

Everyone has their own way of finding inspiration. For me, i seek them in images website 

(etc: tumblr,wehearit). Especially inspire quote. Before answering the task,  i create a few moodboards with images that I found interesting and make my mind work a little to think about the idea.

Based on these images, words that float in my mind are
" Teen / YOLO / society / influence / excuse / negative "
The term YOLO (you only live once) is trending and become popular among the youth culture.
But, what is meant when they say YOLO ?
The meaning of YOLO is one should enjoy life  which similar to Carpe Diem philosophy ‘Live every day as if it were your last’. It encourages people to enjoy and appreciate life while we still can
but most of them misinterpret the word YOLO as an excuse to do something negative.
For an example : let's party and smoke all night, because YOLO .

The issue here is about What YOLO mean to you ? good or bad ?
What is the impact of this term influence the society/you.
Create a platform to portray and encourage people use yolo in positive way

The quote "when it rains look for rainbows , when it dark look for stars" , this inspire me 

when something happen , we can always look for something as solution. 

What if I create a platform where people can share their thoughts and help each other to solve problem in more specific topic. something like People inspire people. Everyone can be inspirational and the platform is like a digital exhibition of everyone thoughts. 

Is different with some other inspiration search engine website like Pinterest or tumblr because is too wide. There a campaign called Before I die board i saw last time in Penang syok guesthouse where people share their thoughts what they will do before they die and write onto the board. Is pretty interesting to read what other people thinking. Somehow is creative. And other example the campaign that going on now #100happydays where people take 100 pictures of their 100 happy days in a row in social media and they will be rewarded with a book that recorded all the moments they shared.

In this PPM module for now , we have to focus on research , study and preparation for our proposed final project. It is good that we are all finding our own talent to perform on the final show. We have to be clear on what our strength and interest for now. Is totally a free topic and is all depend on what i want to show for my degree final showcase.

In order to find my direction, i have to answer my own questions.

What do you enjoy most about design ?
- After went through all these semesters from foundation until now lvl 6, done more than 20 projects. I could say the best part of a whole process of a project from brainstorming to final outcome is when you can imagine and visualise the final outcome once the idea formed without even start execution. I enjoy visualising my work in that imaginary world. It strengthen my confident and i enjoy seeking inspiration and form idea most.

What make you become a design student ?
- to be different with other

What do you like most ?  graphic , coding , editing , documenting
- editing graphic instead of creating graphic.
- I like photography and video more than drawing and illustrate
- I like contextual study where it successfully trained my mind to be critical wherever whenever and whatever i saw.

What do you dislike most ?
- honestly, dislike drawing and documenting

What is your strength ?
- It will be better if somebody can help to evaluate my strength
- I see my weakness as my strength.

What is your weakness ?
- Unable to act quick or think fast
- Procrastinator which lead me to do thing last minute.
- Not a structurer person and i hate planning.

What you find is interesting ?
- About my interest , i enjoy reading people secrets and people thoughts. Im a big fan of Postsecret book. People will actually share their secret and to be publish as anonymous in Postsecret. It is really interesting to read what other people thinking and is creative as well. Postsecret is a platform for people to share and publish their secret to the world anonymously. It helps express and know there are people out there acting weird and think differently . One of the most remarkable secret i read was " When people upset me , I draw pictures of them on buses going to hell " Besides, campaign like "before i die _____ " boards were around the world and i Did confess my thought as well .

What is your fav project , you hv done ?
- narrative Interactive video . I like directing and shooting video. Enjoy production hours with my talent and also enjoy editing the footages.

What attract you ?
- The social trend that influence people nowadays.

What story you want to tell ?
- Inspiration


Reflection : Sharing. Besides interactive , i wish to create something that will let people to share and express their thoughts.
